This morning I grabbed my pot of French press coffee, sat down to watch the news for a minute or two and then flipped on the Weather Channel. Now I love the rain….don’t get me wrong……but it has been 2 weeks solid of rainy days and this is what we have to look forward to in our 10 day forcast.
WEATHER CHANNEL..PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A CRUEL “APRIL FOOLS” PRANK!
NOTE: I’m not going to be answering the phone or emails on Saturday…SMILE!!!
Heading east on the weather map I quickly had my reality check thinking of the folks in my old stomping grounds in the floods and snow. A little rain is nothing and it certainly brings out the best in my garden.

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY MY FRIENDS!!!!
Your garden and surroundings are absolutely stunning!!!!!!! – and you are quite a photographer.
Congratulations…… and I am green with envy following our enourmous hail storm which trashed our garden and now looks like a tsunami has been through it.
Oh thank you so much Fran for the sweet kudos! I adore Portland for it’s garden friendly climate and I absolutely cringed when you mentioned the hail.. OUCH….so much work goes into making things nice and can be wiped out in seconds in that hail. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and comment my friend!!!!!
Thank you, dear, for the beautiful pics. It’s nice to see such virbrant color. It is so cold and gray here and there is a fresh layer of snow on the ground. Did you use a macro lens on the flower photos?
WOW….MORE SNOW!! I’m glad the flowers could add a bright spot Kristin!!! Yes, the lens is a 180mm canon fixed lens…macro. Heres the review online http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EF-180mm-f-3.5-L-USM-Macro-Lens-Review.aspx
I love working with the macro but hate hauling out the tripod every time. It’s the only way to get a crisp image that close. I’ll send more of the daffodils soon!!! Would love to see you start a page at The Bamboo Teahouse and post pix of the girls!!!!!
I’m thinking of getting the Canon 100mm macro. Would you recommend it? Or is the 180mm worth the extra hassle?
