So many of you have been following all the news out of China and reporting to me via email and comments on the blog and I thank you so much for everything. The caring and outpouring of compassion among my friends here has been so genuine and heartfelt!! It overwhelms me at times!

One of my favorite resources for news out of China has been CHINA DAILY. My son Bryan turned me on to this website when he was in school in Kunming China a couple of years ago. I have read it every morning since I found out about it.

The most recent tremors have destroyed thousands of more homes already compromised by the large quake on May 12. It is just beyond me what all these families are going to do with no homes and not much food. The pandas are being looked after well by the dedicated keepers but things are not perfect for them by any stretch of the imagination.

Also a little note about the pendant each of my tribe members is going to be recieving….as soon as we have photos of our babies I will be creating each tribe a set of 10 limited edition pendants as a gift with the respective tribe’s cub photo on it!!!!!

These will take some time to make as well as waiting for images of our babies but will give us all something to look forward to midway in this adoption process! I’m so excited to get going on them.

Another great resource for keeping tabs on the pandas in Chengdu is NPR . I really enjoyed reading this story and hope you all have the time this week to read it as well
