HAPPY SPRING MY FRIENDS!!
I must apologize first for the long absence following my vacation. As usual it has been a hectic spring so far with these past 2 weeks setting me behind considerably
My daughter Liz came out for a wonderful surprise visit from Minnesota and we spent a few days at the coast just hanging out and shopping.
LIZ AT SPANISH HEAD BEACH IN OREGON
Just before she arrived we lost one of our dear dear Chows very unexpectedly following a surgery. Little Magenta was , and will always be my #1 muse and house mouse. She followed me quietly like a shadow all day and even slept on our bed. For those of you who know Chows…bed sleeping is usually not something they like to do.
Steve and I have our hearts literally broken in two but are relieved we still have our sweet Meg and Lily to comfort us and feel blessed we were given the gift of “Magenta” for the 6 perfect years that she graced us with her unconditional love and priceless antics.
BELOW IS MAGENTA SLEEPING WITH HER BUNNY ON OUR BED…SIGH!
Now on to some more upbeat news!!! You will see in the first photo above I have brought back my “Windcharms” but in a wonderful fused glass version!! These pieces are incredible and make the most beautiful wall and window art to fit unusual tight spaces.
This beauty is covered with antique chandelier crystals and will be available on Ebay this week.
A Chow version will be coming up later this week as well. These will be listed in a day or two along with some incredible pendants and necklaces!!! My kiln is full every day and I’m finally getting some finished pieces ready to list!!! Woooo Hooo!!
Another bit of news…I bit the bullet and got a new camera!! I now am the proud owner of the Canon 40D DSLR!! The possibilities are endless with this baby and you will be seeing many new photographs available soon at my Imagekind gallery (link below) I will update when I have new prints listed!!
Have a super week everyone!!!!

I’m so sorry to hear about your Magenta… They take a piece of us with them when they go, don’t they?
*hugs*
Sandra I am so sorry to hear about Magenta. I have one of those housemouses too that sleeps with us and follows me all over the house. Those are the ones that just wrap themselves around your heart and won’t let go. They consider themselves your personal guardian. I’m so sorry for you and Steve. Hugs from me and my fuzzbutts.

Sandra, I was so sorry to here about Magenta. If you remember Minute likes to sleep with us also. They are so unconditionally loving and Minute has attached herself to me ever since my heart attack. Hang in there and know that we are thinking of you.

Thank you so much Mouse, Yvette and Ken!!! Reading your words really is a great comfort. We all have animals that touch our lives in incredible ways. It is such a tragedy when they need to leave us. I just know Magenta is sleeping on the Divine Canine’s bed with her little halo glimmering in the stars!
Hey Girlfriend,
You know how sorry I am about the Magenta Mouse. She was a sweetheart. She and our Chloe are probably having a grand time at the rainbow bridge—saying things like ‘you look familiar’ or ‘were we sisters in a past life?’ or ‘hey, would you like to go to Thailand with me?’ I think Chloe just knew that Magenta needed a special friend—-that’s why she gave me “THE SIGN” that she was ready to go.
Hugs & tears my friend

Sandy and Steve . I am so sorry about Magenta. I’ts hard to realize she is gone. She was very special to all of us and such a loving buddy. She will never be forgotten. Love you Mom
Thank you Diana and Mom!!! I agree that she and Chloe ( a half sister to Magenta that just this week crossed the rainbow bridge as well) are cruising doggie heaven looking for gardens to dig in and toys to toss around. Their daddy Vinnie I am positive is showing them all of his tricks as well.
I so appreciate the comments from everyone. It makes me feel better and Diana I am so sorry about Chloe!!!!

I am deeply sorry to hear about Magenta. altho i never knew her in person, i certainly knew her in your magnificent photos and little bits of info here and there and she sure seemed like a sweetheart. she reminded me of my annie and my spriggan. little sweet things who always loved to share our bed. We never forget them and they always hold special places in our hearts. Im glad she has some friends and family that welcomed her to her eternal heaven. what joy that must have been!! Your artwork…..this new piece witht he Panda is EXQUISITE! Gorgeous wirework!!!!!!
love, kathe
I meant to mention that i was also sorry to hear about Chloe’s passing. i know i had seen Chloe at a few local shows, and tho i dont think Diana and i have ever met personally, i would love to extend my condolances and truly heartfelt sympathy to her. i dont know how we ever get over the loss, but we do go on, because we love the breed, and wish to honor the memory of those chows we shared our lives with before. that is why i will never be without a chow. the best remembrance of a chow that has past, is to continue to live with chows in the future. what greater tribute is there.
