A day to kick back in Chiang Mai

This is Diana before her Thai iced coffee…..lol!  Sorry about the photo being sideways and I can’t get it to rotate.

We actually got to sleep in late today (7:00) and have been just putzing around town.  Got some CD’s burned of Diana’s pix to give her camera more memory.  Im going to do the same later on .  We plan to go to the  nail salon and have some fancy doodles done on our acrylic nails.  Will post pix of those babies later!!

Had a stroll down a very “local” street and stumbled onto a Vietnamese cafe that was wonderful.  I had carrot/lemon juice for my drink and Diana had Mango.  How refreshing!!!  Well had better run for now but will be in touch in a few hours after the nails.  We fly to Chengdu tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It’s almost Panda time!!!!!!!!  Now I have to figure out how to get all that celadon in my suitcase!!!!

    Good Morning!
Time for me to go to work. Time for you to travel again. Weather report from here is cold again. But only minus 5. And a heat wave coming tomorrow. Into the high 20’s. But snow coming on Monday or Tuesday. So Diana, maybe you will still get in on the icey roads and building kennel moats! Course you could bring all your nice weather home with you. Then we’d just have to deal with flooding.
I’m glad you are having such a great time. Am looking forward to the panda pictures! So how many more suitcases have you purchased? Sounds like you might need to charter a cargo plane to get home.
    “See you” tonight!

Enjoying the armchair travels. I hope you are bringing back one of those embroidered jackets (pictured on the 2 girls) if they (the jackets) are as beautiful in person as the photos. Jan

Hello Jan and Claudia!!! We have been having a blast and YES Jan I am coming home with an embroidery or two. I love the work they do here….especially the Shu Embroidery panels that have a different design on both sides. More on the next blog post about the artists
