Hello friends~~~~
It’s been a few days since I’ve had a chance to write…..Bernice, Franck, Steve and myself have been roadtrippin’ through South Africa and having a blast~ Early in the morning we left for Durban(a gorgeous major city in SA) to stay with some of Bernices good friends who own puppies of hers.
Oh my….the hospitality was incredible and their home was nicer than any high end hotel we have stayed at. Some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. We want to thank Jenny and Gideon (and their chows) as well as Celeste and Louis (and their chows as well who treated us to a fabulous dinner last nite for such a genuinely warm welcome.
I was sicker than a dog last nite at Celeste and Louis house….caught a hellish virus….and I felt like I was at home in front of the fireplace with a blankie around me. The flu kept me in bed half the day today but I’m feeling a bit better.
Steve and Franck hit the Origins museum today while Bernice stayed at home with me …we had a lot of time to catch up and play with their gorgeous chows. What a treat to see Mz. Liza again. I’ll have pix up of her and the rest of the Ciao Chow gang soon.
We also found the most exciting chow puppy I have seen in a long time at Celeste’s……..he literally took my breath away (no it wasn’t the virus…lol) More coming soon on this stunning young boy
Off to a gemstone expert and the cheetah part this week….I have so much to tell but not enough time to write it all!!
Hover over the pix to read the titles…till later………much love from The Millers and The Leroys~~
Whew – am I ever glad to hear from you again. Have been worried that you or Steve were sick or something dreadful had happened since there had been no word from you since the 17th. Tis great that you’re feeling better. Sure anxious to see pics of Celeste’s boy. Yesterday in Houston, Wayne’s boy Simon took WD/BW/BOB & Nan’s STRIDER daughter, Ellie took WB/BOS. Haven’t heard what happened today. Stay well & safe. Luv ya……Pat
I came to the computer 2 min after this came in. I guess I was really thinking about you. I just called Jons and Bryan answered so I talked to him a while. He was concerned about your cough . He said ‘What if its serious” I told him you were taking some of your own medicine you had. He said He was getting ready to start school and will give his notice at work in a week or so.It’s suppose to be 90 degree or higher all next week. I’m finally going to take Lulu for the teeth cleaning. Ive had the appt for over a month . Anxious to see the pictures and hope you feel better soon. You have a long plane ride ahead of you. Maybe it will be a chance to sleep .Sure was nice talking to you.. Love Mom
OK, the latest news from Houston is that Breaker took Breed today & even made the cut in Grp. Gail Forsythe was there for the seminars & told Nan he looked GREAT in the group ring. Hope you are feeling much better by now. Luv ya…..Pat
Hey get well soon.!! What a fabulous trip, and such wonderful friends to travel with. Of course we know Chow people are the best. Can’t wait to see the pics of the puppy boy!!! Looks like Pat beat me to the punch, but Breaker really showed beautiful today, just like his Dad Strider. I can’t remember if I told you but Ellie also took BOS all three days in Dallas, and Breaker took Breed two days. I know you are getting such great inspiration for your future jewelry design, and I have had so many comment on my blue piece. (I love it) Have a safe trip home, and say hi to Steve. Love, NM
Hi Sandy & Steve
Glad to hear that you guys enjoyed your visit to our home. It was a pleasure having you over and we really hope that you will be able to spend a few days with us when you next visit SA. Louis, Franck & Steve must start planning our trip to Botswana & Namibia.
So glad you love the new addition to our family – he is breathtaking. Your high opinion of him means so much to us coming from a chow expert like yourself.
Hope to see you again before you leave for home.
Love & blessings,
Louis, Celeste & chows xxxx
LOL!!! Just your #1 groupie checking in and letting you know that even I was beginning to worry about you… Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well and hope you’re on the mend… been missing your photos and stories… It’s like the blinds on my window to the world got pulled. Open up them windows again soon please… I’m having African withdrawals!!! Looking forward to hearing and seeing more of your adventure. Stay safe, stay well 🙂
Oops… you don’t know me by Laurie… HotFlashFusion=#1Groupie, heehee…Can’t wait to see what kind of jewelry you’ll be creating upon your return… I see zebra stripes and leopard prints in the mix!!
Hello Sandy & Steve
You guys must be totally exhausted after all your jolling here in SA. Jolling is another lekker local word for having fun, partying, etc. There’s no place like home where you can rest up. International travel is exciting, but tiring. Just wanted to say that I love the photo of Sandy & Mz Lize on Bernice site – absolutely beautiful. I took a lovely photo of the two of you with Bernice and Franck sitting around the table in my kitchen. I’ll send it to you. Take it easy this weekend. Love Bloms & chows xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and a hug from the little one!
