Floating Market in Vietnam
This was at the end of our day long boat trip on the river…the limestone you see in the background is a cave we had just come through. My tall husband had to literally lie down in the boat to keep stalagtites from hitting his head!
We feasted on fresh fruit , hot tea, rice and Pho cooked right on these boats. This was during Vietnamese New Year and we were the ONLY Caucasians on the river..among hundreds who were on a family outing that day for the holiday.
Vietnam…a kind, gentle and BEAUTIFUL place. Highly recommended destination and will spend at least a month next time we go.

Thanks for the comment Leithwalker!! Looking at this photo again I can feel the humidity and smell the wonderful food cooking on those boats all over again. I think I'll make some Pho for lunch.!

A nice colourful look at Vietnamese daily life. So much time there is spent on the water.
