Washington DC Native American rally...my fave shot of the day

We ran into a Native American rally as we approached the Whitehouse on Friday. So many interesting costumes and colors and a passionate group of beautiful human beings

The stark contrast of these 3 teepees staked out on the mall (lawn) of the Washington Monument really moved me. It was so terribly hot out yet I had to walk around half the block to get an unobstructed view of this scene and shot only 2 pix before we had to move.

Thank you so much Eva and Russ. I agree there is just something about the contrast of the two different structures and communities that really strikes a chord with this image. We had such a good time in DC
