Save the Moonbear! T shirt and mugs
A new graphic I designed to help raise awareness of the plight of these incredible bears who are "farmed" to harvest their bile for medicinal purposes. A visit ot the Moon Bear Rescue in Chengdu China this past February had my friend and I and even our guide Mickal speechless.
As they told us in Chengdu is how imperative it is to get the word out!! You can drop by animalsasia.org and just learning more about this very disturbing practice of bile farming. There are some extremely dedicated folks there doing work I would never have imagined existed!!
There are many less expensive alternatives available to bile now and the farming is way past it’s heyday…yet thousands of moonbears are still suffering in cages they cannot even turn around in.

ISN'T IT the saddest thing ever!!! Being at the Moonbear REscue gave me such a respect for the people working with these bears day in and day out. Most of the bears that come into their facility die of infection from the unsanitary catheter that is dripping bile all day from their cage.
It is quite the sight seeing the graveyard of all the abused moonbears AND dogs they take in. These people are SAINTS to be able to watch this day in and day out and keep a cool head
Animals Asia is pretty much the only Moonbear charity that is working directly with the rescues and educatoin of the Chinese moonbear farmers. I can highly recommentd them as extremely effective

Thank you for posting this! I saw pictures of the coffin-like cages and read about the pain inflicted on these beautiful Beings through an animal rights organization. I contributed immediately and may send more when I find which organizations are most effective. Very sad situation as effective synthetic alternatives exist! A matter of education in the right places!
