AN ARTISTIC FEAT, Kunming China
Knowing what it’s like to have a challenge myself with my eye problems, as an artist this boy absolutely knocked my socks off and that is no pun intended!
He was sitting on the wet street and out of the corner of my eye I saw he was painting. The crowd was scurrying so fast past him and we were also trying to not get hit by a motorbike , soI just snapped this as fast as I possibly could and hoped for the best.
Well when I got home and loaded the photo….I noticed he had no arms and was painting with his FEET! I pointed it out to my husband and son who were also with me at the time and they said "didn’t you know that?"
So here my camera came through for me again. Giving me eyes where I have very limited vision. I only wish I could have given something to that boy that day. I would have surely bought his painting and often wonder how he is surviving on those busy streets!
This was a life altering photo for me. Taken in Kunming, China the Autumn of 2006
