IN MY GARDEN ...6/13/97 RIGHT OFF THE CAMERA!!!
This was a shock when i uploaded it! All i did was frame and sign it!! I was playing with exposures and was thrilled to see the painterly quality on this one!
A breeze caught the blossom at just the right moment to soften the background while still keeping reasonable focuse on the pleats in the petals and the petal edges!

If you look at the folded petal you can see a man's face with an open mouth... do you see him??? You definately caught the "spirit" of that flower!!!! Awesome shot!

Painterly indeed! And sometimes, these gorgeous rich reds are hard to be seen well by the camera, but this is fabulous!! And I love that it is an accurately preserved moment; many times those are more special to me as you say "right off the camera" . A fave :)
Seen in my contacts' photos.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to write such constructive comments!!! I do see the face HFF!! LOL! So funny !!
Verdant eye....I'm glad you like the "au natural" photos like I do. I try to keep as close to the integrity of the subject like you do with very little "enhancement"....when one comes right off the camera not even needing a crop etc...it's a real thrill!!
I do love photoshop in it's place because it's an artistic tool but when taking photos I try to put more emphasis into the art within the camera/photographer ....then photoshop is there to "help" when needed
