MY MOST PRIZED TREASURE FROM THE PANDA BASE

This silk scarf measures a whopping 8 feet long by 2 feet wide and is entirely handpainted (permanent dyes…not stiff)

I used to do this kind of silk painting before I became allergic to the french dyes. The hours of painstaking work here just boggled my mind. Every inch of this scarf is covered in bamboo and 5 different pandas which display perfectly when draped around the collar of my jacket.

This was quite expensive even at China prices (about 80.00 usd) but if I had made it I would have to charge over 500.00 USD.!!!

All the money from this scarf went to the Panda Base so it made the purchase even sweeter

It's gorgeous. It's good to bring back something really good to remind you of a great trip. (I usually end up with a naff plastic object that seems irresistable at the time!) Great photos from your trip. Thanks for sharing them all.
