GAZING BALL....a self portrait

The sky was overcast today and as I passed by my blown glass gazing ball I saw I was perfectly framed in the reflection by my Dawn Redwood and Maple trees. The timing was perfect as this irid finish on the glass only shows up on lightly overcast days and the colors turn much brighter like they are on fire

I’m so excited!!! I love these fun surprises

That's really gorgeous. I had a similar serendipity moment on Monday at Barnsdale Gardens in Rutland UK. I actually only realised I had the sky reflection in a shot of a spherical fountain when I got home! I've put my shot alongside yours in the group below. -- Seen in Blind Photographers (?) WINNER You are my winner! Please add this photo to www.flickr.com/groups/mywinners/

This looks like a photoshop effect, rather than somemting one could find in the real world. Great catch! -- Seen next to a fellow photo of Blind Photographers. (?)

Thanks oberazzi!! That's why I left the upper edge of the ball visible. I thought the same thing when first had cropped it at the top. I decided to leave the "edge" for a reference point. Glad you stopped by!!!!
