Home Sweet Home

I am so proud and honored to have had this image as well as a handful of others chosen as one of a select number of photos representing South Africa on a new website caled "AMONG WOMEN SOUTH AFRICA"

Come by and see this incredible website and read about their important cause
www.amongwomensouthafrica.org/

What great company to be in as the selected photographers range from all over our glorious planet!!!!

A very powerful image that came from our trip to Johannasburg South Africa. It pulls at my heart so hard I cry every time I look at my shanty town pix.

Thank you for the comments on this one. It boggles the mind how lucky we are and how much we take for granted in more developed countries.. Africa has changed me so much....I'm still trying to sort out exactly WHAT has changed...but I know I need to go back and learn more.

Great image. I like that you kept this in colour. Looks like the kind of shot that ends up B&W sometimes, but the colour here is great. I saw this great shot at Helluva Shot!!Helluva Shot!!

aflikted...(love your screen name by the way) I really appreciate your indepth comment. I know exactly what you mean . I actually toyed with converting to B&W but thought again that the color made a remark about how such a potentially depressing scene can have it's bright spots. I love her cup of possibly "coffee" at her feet and the tennis show on the roof too. I took this from a gravel road at 30mph through the car window. I'm so excited it turned out!!!
