"HUMMER ON IDLE"

This little Annas hummingbird is a regular visitor to my feeder and garden. He sasses me ever time I walk out the door and I can never see where the chatter is coming from in the trees.

Well today I happened to have the 400 lens on and lo and behold I saw his silouette WAY UP in my maple tree which was a miracle with my crappy eyes.

I took only one shot and this was it!!!! I converted to black and white because it brought the details out better. I love this shot

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Picture Pages (Post 1 Comment on 2), and we'd love to have your photo added to the group. This one is super and it's another example of how the camera can help us to see images we'd never otherwise experience. I love the crooked branch it's perched on, too. -- Seen in Blind Photographers (?)
