CHOW AND BAMBOO EMBELLISHMENTS
Here is my next step. After a day of sculpting, sanding, adding, subtracting and finally deciding it is ready…these fine silver embellishments are ready for the kiln once again.
All of those white lines are actually pure silver that eventually will be shiny like a silver spoon!
This is where it get’s tricky!!! Silver can totally change the underlying glass colors when heated together. After all these hourse of work getting it to this point…I pray when I close that kiln door it will look fine upon opening
Some surprises are wonderful! Every glass color reacts differently to the pure silver. I’m hoping if it reacts..will cast "soft shadows" of color from the bamboo to add some depth.
The Chow is in a pretty "safe" zone because it is backed in solid black..but I never say "NEVER"..LOL
We will know is about 8 hours what HOTTIE has in store for us.
