Tai Shan's 3rd Birthday party in DC, July 2008
What a treat to see Tai in person for the first time. I took over 1000 photos in about 30 minutes time and have so many to go through. These are a few of my faves so far. Most are full frame with no croppping.
I was using only my 100-400 zoom and was able to get some wonderful mug shots!! Thank you PU members for the warm hospitality and fantastic memories!!

Poor Tai...they torture [only kidding :) ] him up with a big, giant number every year and this year they made it really difficult by breaking the 3 during setup. They had to position one piece on top of the other... just to fall on him when he touched it. He is a brave boy though and recovered quickly. I know he was saying to himself "THOSE NASTY NUMBERS". Actually we talked to the guy that made the number for him and it was a really interesting story to hear how it was developed. He was so proud of it...and then it broke.
