ROSE FESTIVAL, PORTLAND OREGON 2008
A beautiful day on the Willamette river in downtown Portland. The navy ships were docked for "Fleet" week and we thoroughly enjoyed the 70 degree sunshine!!
This is my favorite photo taken today. The teenagers marched through the ice cold water forming a chain , with hands on each others shoulders. It was a moment of pure youth and bliss and I was so happy to be able to capture it.
In color there were so many brilliant hues that the subject matter got lost (which is too bad…I loved the colors). In black and white the eye drops right where it needs to be plus the water texture shows up extra well.
