CLICK HERE TO ENTER MY ZAZZLE STORE!!
This fun design has a very contemporary Asian vibe to it and includes my two favorite black and white critters…..the panda and the chickadee!!
This would be fun to give with the matching tshirt in my store for a completely coordinated gift ensemble. Finish it off with a great canister of tea, a tea ball and a beautiful mug and you will be the most popular person on the block!! More products with this design will be added to the store this week, including a T with no text on it that you can customize to your liking

You will be the hit of the zoo in your PEEKABOO SHOES…especially if you travel with me via my blog to Chengdu!!! How cute is this??? I designed this perfect panda pedestrian platform from toe to heel for a shoe to wear on my own trip back to Chengdu China.
The panda graphic is the feature on the cover of my new book called “BLIND SPOT” which comes out in 2010 showcasing my visits to Chengdu and Bifengxia panda bases.
Have a blast changing all the trims , eyelet colors laces etc, to customize this shoe to your liking
I had better quit writing and order mine so I have them in time for the trip!!!
And speaking of the upcoming journey…Click on the HOME button on the blog to see the recent facelift to showcase the trip!!! The right column is a work in progress but will be a wealth of info for you all as we get ready to start our Asia trek together. Much more to come this week!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!

“Things which we cannot easily see, are often the spot where our focus should be” ~Sandra Miller
The above book scheduled for publication later in 2010 will chronicle my panda journeys as a legally blind traveler through my camera lens and paintings . Proceeds will go to Pandas International though my Project Panda efforts

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” ~Brian Littrell
This book above to be released in 2010/2011 will feature my visit and photo “shoot”on location at Animals Asia Foundation in Chengdu China.
As you can see there has been no rest over the holidays in the GRAFFITI studio! I have so much to tell you guys but can only do a little at a time or it will be info overload!!
This is a really big milestone for me to get these book covers done!! Each of the books will be brimming over with my art and photography and are considered “coffee table” books in a collectors series. This upcoming trip is where I will be getting all my images from to fill the pages so they will be mostly NEW TO YOU and me as well!!
100% of any proceeds from each of the books go to their respective charity as mentioned above. I wanted to get the covers done before I left to show the directors at the Panda Bases and AAF what my plans are. A visual is always so much better than trying to describe the concept with my command of the Chinese dialects being VERY poor to say the least!

NEW CALENDARS FOR 2010 DONE IN A CHINESE “SCROLL” STYLE TO FIT NARROW PLACES
Wowie Zowie….the fun never stops around here.. Just when I think I have a breather I take on something new to add to the party I call LIFE…my muses are persistent thats for sure. I am always glad to have inspiration knocking down my door vs. the alternative…the dreaded “artistic block” …(I say that with a whisper..lol!)
Above is a video I just finished to go with an early Xmas prezzie I made for Steve . I published a hardcover book of our Provence France trip with our best photos and put it to music in this video as well. ENJOY!!!!

Do you all remember my “Snow Bird” from last year? Well my Anna’s Hummingbird is still hanging around but this time with his wife and brood of 2 chicks from this year. As the temps have been falling I need to really keep on top of making sure his feeder is not freezing solid and he has adequate shelter close to the feeder.
This little fella sits on a vinyl coated wire all day about 2 feet from the feeder or on the Japanese Maple a few feet from my front door. He never ventures far from the house which I’m sure radiates a bit of heat and cuts the wind.
Hummingbirds have a unique way of keeping warm or conserving their energy – at night, or any time they cannot get enough food to fuel themselves – they go into torpor – a state in which their metabolic rate is only one-fifteenth that of normal sleep….very much like hibernation.
I can walk right up to him in the early morning without him moving a muscle. I call these beautiful Anna’s humming birds my “tree pickles” or “gerkins” because they are shaped and colored just like one!
Last night I forgot to bring the feeder in….The red popsicle needed thawing. When I brought it back out, 2 hummies buzzed me and landed on the feeder while I was still hanging it up. I hope I can get Steve to get a photo of them doing that tomorrow!!! I told my friend today I want to get them each a little match box complete with blankie and hot water bottle for Xmas to sleep in!!

As I write at 6:30 PM the temp is 24 and heading down to a near record low for Portland this time of year. Brrrrrrr you would never know I was born and raised in Minnesota! My friends are all laughing at me I’m sure…but keep in mind I only own unlined raincoats not a single sweater. I had to really dig to find those photography gloves I bought for Chengdu 2 years ago. Geeze have I turned into a wimp

So what does one do on a cold week to keep warm???? Created fused glass and finish up some batiks!!
This yummy card and print was inspired by a dog we bred years ago…actually he is Megs litter brother Ike!! Thank you Bonnie for letting me use his stately likeness to do this rich colored batik
