Last night in the wee hours of the morning I sat down and worked on these photos from the Grand Palace
HISTORY OF THE GRAND PALACE
“For just about 150 years, Bangkok’s Grand Palace was not only the home of the King and his court, but also the entire administrative seat of government. Within the crenelated walls were the country’s war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Thai Kings stopped living in the palace full time around the turn of the twentieth century, but the complex remains the seat of power and spiritual heart of the Thai kingdom.”
I’m so glad Liz and I asked Jerry to take this photo above. The light was so nice and it was early in the day before we were totally wilted. In the major temples in Thailand it is required to wear long slacks (not jeans) or a full length skirt and for women long sleeves. We were sweltering in the 90 degree heat and equally high humidity but Jerry always kept us cooled down in the shade and with lots of cold bottled water
I love this shot of this girl. A Buddhist tradition to dip the lotus blossom in holy water and sprinkle it on the head. This was totally unposed in front of the temple of the Jade Buddha
BELOW..the statues at the Grand Palace are ominous …….so huge and plentiful. All surfaces are decorated everywhere you go including floors, ceilings, pillars etc…….and I though Italy was impressive that way!

I AM ABOUT TO REVEAL ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY!!
Ek took this photo by going out into the pool with my camera. This is the entrance to our room at Burasari Hotel in Phuket!! I wasn’t kidding when I said the room opened up into the pool!! There were only 5 rooms like this in the whole place and Ek got 2 of them for the 4 of us to stay in. What a treat this was!!
Each opening between the waterfalls in another poolside room so we had lots of privacy to swim into our littel cubby hole rain forests!! The water was like a bathtub it was so tempid
This looks like it is outdoors but the photo below shows what the interior of the hotel looked like. This was the “hallway” leading from our room to the lobby wiht water on all sides of us!!!!
I must have taken 100 pix of Liz swimming in hopes of capturing a shot like this. The wave is wrapped around her like a blanket. One of my fave shots that day
There was parasailing on the beach one block from our hotel. You can see the people being lifted off of the beach by a boat in the water
It was a windy one here. Lix and I were perched on the edge of this overlook. I had to sit down I was afraid of getting blown off balance
Below is the true meaning of a “doggie bag”. OMG the look on her face was priceless
This is the Giant Buddha of Phuket that is being built high on the hill and can be seen from pretty much everywhere. Liz and I bought marble tiles and put our names on them to help finance this project
Some beautiful Ellies and colors that are unmistakably Thai
The scenery at this overlook below was breathtaking. A nice photo of Ekarat!!

Chow puppies on our visit to see Ekarat in Thailand
This first photo pretty much says it all when it comes to describing how fun and insane it was trying to photograph wiggly Chow puppies at dusk with only my onboard flash. OMG Liz was laughing so hard at Eks Kennel helper, driver and myself trying to get these puppies to stay still for a split second. We even got her to go to work bribing the babies with food. Only my hand was in focus here!
