ABOVE PHOTO TAKEN IN MY GARDEN TODAY OF ONE OF 7 NEW ARTISAN MADE TEMPLE BELLS FROM EK

From the first time we traveled to Thailand years ago, there is something that has always mesmerized me about those hundreds of bronze or brass bells that line the elegant rooflines of the temples, from Grande to small.  The photo below I took in Chiang Mai Thailand a couple of years ago when I traveled with my friend Diana.

Then there were the larger bells that visitors ring, one at a time as they walk by them.  These larger bells have a tone that resonates for what seems FOREVER!! Being handmade, each has an individual tone and personality of it’s own Simply stunning.  The photo below was also in Chiang Mai at one of the smaller WATS (temples)

Below see a new video I put together highlighting these special bells as well as a few new additions to the garden decor!!  Enjoy my friends and have a wonderful week!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH EK FOR THIS WONDERFUL GIFT.  I KNOW THEY WERE VERY HEAVY TO CARRY ON THE PLANE!!  WE THINK OF OUR WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIP WITH YOU AND A HEARTFELT CONNECTION TO THAILAND, EVERY TIME THE BELLS CHIME IN THE BREEZE

PHOTO BELOW TAKEN IN CHIANG MAI THAILAND, 2008..SEE THE BELLS IN THE DISTANCE!

THE BEAUTIFUL JUNK BOATS ON HONG KONG HARBOR

Nothing screams out Hong Kong like the vintage Junk boats that grace the harbor here in Hong Kong. Combined with container ships, wooden fishing boats, cruise liners and various other water craft it makes for an ever changing spectacle on water, 24/7

The past two days we have done  nothing but eat and walk and photograph this delicious city who’s skyline has the hills to her back and an ocean at her feet.  Below you will find a variety of images from the streets to the waterfront.  I tried to take some photos that help you feel the vibe here.  Dont forget to see the 3 new videos of the market below as well.

Buying a new S95 CANON point and shoot camera at TIN CHEUNG CAMERA. HONG KONG

I purchased a new camera today too!! An itsy bitsy one for those times when a big huge camera is just too conspicuous. My old one I purchased in Hong Kong as well so I thought since the model is brand new, and the price was incredible, I would replace the outdated one with this little powerhouse of a camera…the  CANON S95

Tomorrow we go on aTea Cruise through the harbor so crossing our fingers for weather like we had today

Hope you are having a great week!! Enjoy the pix and check out the Facebook images in the sidebar too!

ON A BEAUTIFUL CORAL SAND BEACH WEARING ONE OF ANNIES DESIGNS

Wow what a difference a day makes!  Yesterday we were walking the coral sands of  the Bali coastline with 90 plus temps and 90 plus humidity…today we are in Hong Kong and the temps are in the mid 50s….ooooooooh this is going to take some getting used to but we adore Hong Kong and would prefer to visit her in cooler weather to hot and steamy any day!

Yesterday we had such a great time our last day in Bali.  Annie who created the beautiful villa we stayed at and designer of

Lotus in the Moonlight Clothing

invited us out to a spectacular evening at a seaside restaurant and we had a chance to talk about her years in Bali ( Annie is Canadian originally) and chatting art and our our artistic visions.  It was such a great night I hated to see it end!

ME AND ANNIE AND HER RESCUE PUPPY SAWA

Annie certainly is a woman with a huge heart , incredible drive and an artistic eye that is hard to match. Everything she touches she turns to beauty as you can see in the wide angle images of her villas I took yesterday.  Thank you so much my dear friend for such a wonderful time and place to stay.  We are already starting to plan our return journey to Bali!!!  It is truly magical

So now I need to dry my entire suitcase of clothes.  I opened it when we arrived in Hongkong and the steam literally poured out of the suitcase!!  My jammies are damp as are the rest of my clothes.  That’s how heavy the air is with humidity in Bali but I loved every drop of the dewey atmosphere.  We will very much miss Indonesia !!!!
