FROM BEACHES TO BUTTERFLIES..Days 2 and 3 on the coast

Agate beach and Newport Oregon Day Three

This is quite possibly the most frightening photo I have ever had taken on my travels.  THANKS STEVE!!!  LOL!

The past 3 days  have been a blast with lots of beach time to pass the hours and  visits to nearby Newport where there is a butterfly garden and of course the wonderful California sealions who  have taken up summer residence on the fishing docks

AGATE BEACH OREGON DAY 2

I’ve taken so many awesome photos on this trip so far that I decided it would be easier to embed the Flickr Slideshow than to try to load all the photos individually into the blog post which can take hours on this slow laptop.  Just click each of the 2 slideshows below to start and sit back and enjoy.  You can view FULL SCREEN as well if you that option

And below are 2 examples of BEACH INSPIRED pendants I call “TIDE JOOLS” to give you a taste of what’s to come once I return from my short vacation!!!  Everywhere you look the sea, sand and countryside sparks the creative fire.  I’m anxious to start creating with my new finds and ideas using my images as a starting block.

New beach inspired pendant

ABOVE IS A FUSED GLASS SHINY BLACK PENDANT WITH TEENY MIMICED DROPLETS OF WATER….SOOOOOOOOOO NATURAL AND ORGANIC AND A REAL CONVERSATION STARTER!!

New beach inspired pendant

ABOVE IS A STACKED STONE INTERPERETATION AS YOU WOULD SEE ON THE OREGON COAST…AND MANY OTHER LOCATIONS AROUND THE WORLD.  IN MANY PLACES, STACKING STONES IS CONSIDERED A GOOD WAY TO PROTECT THE HOME AND WARD OFF BAD ENERGY.  i LOVE THIS PIECE AND AM EXCITED TO RUN WITH THIS IDEA.

Both of these pieces are one of a kind and available ….write to ask about details  or you can wait until I return home and I will list them on the website.

The new pirate bear

Hope you are all have a beautiful week!! We sure are!!  Thanks for all the awesome comments on my Facebook pix too!!!

Comments

  1. We saw small stacked rock ‘shrines’ in the China countryside, but I can’t remember exactly where. I do remember our tour guide saying in English, “no pee pee on the rocks!!!” That would have been sacrilegious I suppose, but I wasn’t planning on doing that anyway! Your jewelry art is so beautiful and so personal, I absolutely love everything that you create!

    Hi Sandra,
I would love to learn more about the Balance necklace. How much are you asking for it? It would be perfect to symbolize the personal development workshops and seminars I have been doing this year.

Wendy, wow it’s been forever !!! Miss ya!!!! I’ll write you about the necklace. I have 3 available…all one of a kind and will show you the others too.

What a wonderful place to be, and the jewelry is just lovely. As we burn in Texas, (103 today) we can only dream of that beautiful place and the cool ocean breezes. Thanks for sharing. Nan M

    DESCRIPTION
The “stones” are actually hand sculpted by me from clay and fired to a beautiful matte black finish. Each pebble is one of a kind and stacks one on top of another in random fashion.

The sterling wire spiral below the stone stack supports the beautiful pewter charm which is embossed BALANCE.

The sterling eye pin going through the charm has a flattened paddle at the tip which catches the light just so.

A silver micro ball chain is included which measures 24″ and can be cut to a shorter length if you wish. This piece comes in a VERY cute customized tin…I’ll leave that as a surprise!

The price is 42.00 plus 5.50 priority mail shipping

  6. Kristin Schnuckle says:
