Nona and Lowla, also have a squirrel they play with. Their squirrel is very sassy, and loves to taunt and tease them. He will climb down the almond tree head first to within 6-8 inches of sharp, shiny Chow Chow teeth, to chatter and scold, while boldly swishing his fluffy tail. (Perhaps we have some "tail envy" going on here!) He is a regular visitor as he moves our walnuts and almonds from our yard to his, and he has become a source of entertainment for all! There is a neighboring Red-Tailed Hawk and a Goshawk pair that also have their sharp eyes on him, and I am more concerned for his safety from that direction than from Nona and Lowla. It has amazed me to see the girls' anticipating his next move and then "double teaming" his egress routes in their continuing game of "Squirrel for Breakfast." Our two Chow Chow girls. Tell your daughter my camera is a Canon 40D with a 100-400mm zoom for a good portion of my pix. There are some rockin Canons out there now that are easier to use, less expensive and outstanding quality. If you need info just let me know. Hmmm where were you trying to link to the site from?
